Does trimester matter?
We can help support your pregnancy throughout all 3 trimesters and postpartum phase.
How often do I need to come in for miscarriage prevention?
It depends on your case and we will have to assess your unique case. Most commonly it is recommended to return weekly for the first trimester to help prevent miscarriage and then lower frequency after that.
Will It hurt?
It is very rare for acupuncture to hurt, If anything there may be a sensation of heaviness, tingling and overall calmness.
How long does it take to see results?
Effects of acupuncture are often noticed after 1-2 treatments.
For more chronic issues it could be longer depending on the case.
Are there any negative side effects?
We have not had any reported negative side effects. Acupuncture is very gentle when used correctly with appropriate point prescriptions. For pregnancy there are certain points to use and not to use to ensure there is only regulatory and nourishing qualities to your treatment.
